UOB offers red packets to join customers’ celebration of the Lunar New Year
To welcome the year of the Rooster, the confident and courageous personality of the Rooster is the highlight of the 2017 UOB Red Packet design series.
The red packet features six colourful rainbow roosters in geometric shapes to delight children and youths.
Red is selected as auspicious colours to wish recipients a happy and successful year of the Rooster, and the calligraphic brush stroke on each red packet represents the well-wishes of “a stroke of good luck”.
Each red packet measures 168mm by 88mm, where the number “8” is considered as an auspicious number in the Chinese culture.
The 2017 UOB Red Packets have been printed on specially selected paper certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), the highest standard of responsible forestry management. This environmentally-friendly initiative which started since 2015 is our way of supporting the sustainable use of natural resources and showing care for our future generations.
