UOB Thailand temporarily closes Central Grand Rama 9 Branch and Sam Yaek Branch following three confirmed COVID-19 cases

UOB Thailand has been informed by the health authorities that three of our colleagues have tested positive for COVID-19. Our colleagues are receiving medical care and we are providing them and their family with support.

The first confirmed case was last at our Central Grand Rama 9 Branch on Thursday, 1 July 2021, the second and the third confirmed cases were last at our Sam Yaek Branch on Friday 2 July 2021. As part of our contact tracing process, we have identified those colleagues with whom they may have had close contact. They will be tested for COVID-19 and will serve a 14-day self-quarantine period at home.   

We advise our customers who visited Central Grand Rama 9 Branch between 24 June and 1 July 2021 and Sam Yaek Branch between 25 June and 2 July 2021 to monitor their health closely and to seek medical care immediately if they have any flu-like symptoms.

To ensure the safety of our customers and colleagues and in accordance with Ministry of Health and National Environment Agency guidelines, we have temporarily closed Central Grand Rama 9 Branch from 6 to 8 July 2021 and Sam Yaek Branch from 8 to 9 July 2021  for deep cleaning and disinfection. Central Grand Rama 9 Branch will reopen on Friday, 9 July 2021 and Sam Yaek Branch will reopen on Monday, 12 July 2021 with a new team of branch staff.

  • Thanon Phraram 9 Branch (open daily, Mon – Fri, 8.30 – 15.30 hrs)
  • Ratchada-Huay Khwang Branch (open Mon – Fri, 8.30 – 15.30 hrs)

For customers who need to visit us, the nearest branches to our Sam Yaek Branch are:

  • Thanon Yaowaraj Branch (open daily, Mon – Fri, 8.30 – 15.30 hrs)
  • Wongwian Odean Branch  (open Mon – Fri, 8.30 – 15.30 hrs)

While our branches remain open, we encourage our customers to use our UOB Mighty banking app, UOB Personal Internet Banking or UOB Business Internet Banking Plus (BIBPlus) for their banking needs.
