Detail and Condition of PA Coverage
- The account holder must have a balance at least 10,000 baht one day prior to the accident date.
- Coverage starts from the account opening date and ends when the account is closed.
- Coverage will end when the insured lacks any of the qualifications as specified in the conditions.
- The account holder may specify the beneficiary’s name in the account opening form.
- For customers who open an account from 17 November 2025 onwards, they will not be eligible for insurance coverage if they have any pre-existing physical disabilities or impairments prior to the account opening date.
- Insurance premiums are paid by the Bank while the account holder is the insured. This coverage is under the group non-life insurance policy of UOB V Care Account. Thaivivat Insurance Public Company Limited is the insurer under the terms of coverage and benefits according to conditions.
Coverage Amount and Condition of compensation payment
- The account holder will be covered in the amount of 10 times of the deposit balance in the account 1 day before the accident date, maximum coverage of 20 million baht per person regardless of the number of UOB V Care accounts that the account holder holds. The account holder who is over 70 years old at the account opening date will receive compensation 70% of the coverage amount.
- Condition of compensation payment:
- For loss of life, 100% of the coverage amount.
- In case of dismemberment, loss of sight, loss of hearing, or speech, 1-60% of the coverage amount will be paid according to the details per the policy document.
- For total permanent disability, 100% of the coverage amount. For partial permanent disability, 50% of the coverage amount.
- If the account holder has more than one UOB V Care Savings account, the coverage amount will be calculated from the account with a deposit balance of 10,000 baht or higher of all accounts combined. The maximum coverage amount will not exceed 20,000,000 baht per person.
- In the case of a joint savings account held under more than one name and with no specified allocation of benefits for each account holder, each account holder will receive compensation equal to the total compensation per account, as specified, divided by the number of joint account holders. The total compensation shall not exceed THB 20 million per account, regardless of the number of joint account holders.
