Important Notes :
  • This is a life insurance product. It is not a bank deposit. To get the maximum benefits from insurance policy, the insured should continuously pay the premium through to the end of the premium payment period and holds the policy until the end of the policy contract. If the policy is terminated before the end of the contract, the insured may not receive cash benefit in the amount equivalent to the maximum policy benefit he/she is entitled to, or in the amount equivalent to all premiums paid.
  • The insured is responsible for paying premium. An insurance agent or broker that accepts a premium payment by the insured is solely for the purpose of providing service to the insured.
  • A buyer must read and understand coverage details, and conditions before buying a life insurance policy. Once receiving the insurance policy, please read requirement details, and policy conditions thoroughly.
  • The insured can cancel the policy within 15 days from the date of receipt of the policy document. The insured will get a refund of premiums paid after deducting the company’s expenses of THB 500 and medical examination as charged. This policy cancellation is not allowed if the insured has ever filed a claim.
  • This document is not the insurance contract. Please read and review the information on Area of Cover either in Thailand, Worldwide excluding USA, or Worldwide.
  • The premiums may change at the time of renewal according to the discretion of the company.
  • “UOB Healthy Wealth Life Insurance Plan” is the marketing name of “1-Year Insurance Period (Non-Par) and HA Wealth ll Rider”.
  • The company reserves the right to require the insured to share in the copayment for the renewal of the IPD rider contract upon policy renewal, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the HA Wealth 2 rider.

Important Information

The company will not cover*

  1. In the event of non-disclosure or misrepresentation, the company will terminate the contract within 1 year from the policy effective date or
  2. The insured commits suicide within 1 year from the policy effective date or is murdered by the beneficiary.

Pre-existing conditions

The company will not pay benefits under this rider for any pre-existing chronic disease, injury, or illness (including any complications) prior to inception of this rider, except:

1) The insured has informed such a condition to the company and the company accepts the risk and agrees to underwrite it without exclusion, or,

2) The chronic disease, injury, or illness (including any complications) has not shown noticeable symptoms, has never been examined or diagnosed by physician, or the insured has never visited or consulted with the physician in a period of 5 years before the inception of the rider. Additionally, this rider must remain in force for at least 3 years after its inception.

Waiting Period for HA Wealth 2 Rider

The company will not pay benefits under this rider in the event of illness or medical expenses incurred during the following periods of time after the effective date of this rider, or on the date that the company has approved to increase the benefit amounts of this rider, whichever occurs later:

  • Any illness that occurs during 30-day period, or,
  • Medical examination, eye exam and vaccination that occur during the 12-month period,
  • Dental treatment that occurs during the 90-day period.
  • Any of the following illnesses that occur during the 120-day period:

The aforementioned illness includes the following items.

  • Tumor, Cyst, or all types of cancer
  • Hemorrhoid
  • All types of hernia
  • Pterygium or Cataract
  • Tonsillectomy or Adenoid
  • All types of stone diseases
  • Varicose veins in the leg
  • Endometriosis

In the event that the company approves an increase in benefits, only the increased benefits will not be covered. The company will not apply the waiting period condition if the insured suffers an injury or requires emergency surgery that is not related to any pre-existing conditions.

  1. Condition arises due to functional birth defect or structural birth defects, or genetic disorder, abnormal physical development.
  2. Cosmetic surgery or treatment, or any optional surgery except for wound care and dressing caused by covered accidents.
  3. Pregnancy, miscarriage, abortion, delivery.
  4. AIDS or venereal disease or sexually transmitted diseases.
  5. General health check, requesting for medical institution stay, or surgery request, recuperation, diagnosis of injury or illness, treatment or analysis to find illness causes which are not medically necessary or not a medical standard.

Tax Benefits

  1. Premiums of life insurance with coverage shorter than 10 years are not income tax deductible, according to the conditions of the Revenue Department.
  2. Premiums of health rider are entitled to annual tax deduction up to THB 25,000 per year. When combined, with the life insurance premiums the total deduction cannot exceed THB 100,000 per year (according to the conditions of the Revenue Department).
