UOB and partner banks arrange record THB28 billion green loan for
Thailand’s largest data centre financing

UOB has led a consortium of five partner banks to jointly arrange a THB28 billion green term loan for DayOne Data Centres, supporting the development of one of Thailand’s largest and most scalable data centres. The financing will contribute to DayOne’s initial phase of the greenfield data centre at Chonburi Tech Park in Amata Industrial Park, with operations expected to begin in 2026. The development is DayOne’s inaugural data centre project in Thailand built off their strong foundation and portfolio across the region.

UOB served as Deal Coordinator, Structuring Bank, Mandated Lead Arranger and Account Bank for this transaction, collaborating closely with CIMB, HSBC, ICBC, KBANK and OCBC (collectively, the Mandate Lead Arrangers) on a shared mission to advance the country’s aspirations to be a regional digital innovation hub. This is also part of a strategic goal to build a cutting-edge data centre that not only meets Thailand’s cloud and AI infrastructure needs, but also fosters a thriving ecosystem in line with the region’s growing demand.
