    United Overseas Bank (Thai) (UOB (Thai)) received three awards at The Asian Banking & Finance Retail Banking Awards 2019, specifically the International Retail Bank of the Year – Thailand, Employer Award of the Year – Silver and Branch Innovation of the Year – Silver. It was the first time that UOB (Thai) had won these awards which recognised UOB (Thai)’s long-term commitment to deliver best-in-class solutions and services to customers.

    UOB (Thai) was named International Retail Bank of the Year in Thailand because of its commitment to designing financial solutions that are essential to customer lifestyles and to building the digital bank of tomorrow.

    The Bank was also recognised for its efforts to transform the banking experience and to enhance the skill sets of its people, winning the Branch Innovation of the Year – Silver and Employer Award of the Year – Silver awards.

    UOB (Thai) created customised branch concepts to meet the lifestyles and needs of different customer segments, specifically families, young professionals and the rising affluent. The Bank took a design thinking approach and developed each concept based on how customers use the branches as well as their financial needs and aspirations.

    The Employer Award of the Year – Silver was given to UOB (Thai) following the bank’s commitment to equipping its people with the necessary skills to meet the demands of the digital economy.

    The Asian Banking & Finance Retail Banking Award recognises banks with the most outstanding practices and innovative strategies across the retail banking landscape in Asia.
