Usher in the Lunar Year of the Pig with UOB Red Packets

28 January 2019 - As we usher in the Lunar Year of the Pig, UOB has thoughtfully designed red packets inspired by the theme “Reunion”. This year’s red packets feature many auspicious elements including the clever use of circles (圆圈) to portray the Chinese zodiac sign of the pig. The circles also symbolise completeness and fulfilment.

The reunion theme is also amplified through Chinese greetings (团圆)to wish customers harmony, joy and prosperity. The harmonious colours of pale pink and lavender represent an abundance of wealth and good fortune throughout the year.

The UOB red packets are printed on environmentally-friendly paper with auspicious dimensions of 168mm by 88mm. This is one way in which the Bank supports the sustainable use of resources and shows care for future generations.

UOB red packets are now available at UOB (Thai) branches nationwide.
