UOB Thailand and the Embassy of Italy in Thailand have announced the renewal of their strategic partnership for the eighth consecutive year. The collaboration continues to foster bilateral relations and facilitate seamless international mobility for UOB clients, whilst offering unique opportunities to experience the many facets of Italian culture.

Under this ongoing partnership, holders of the bank’s premium credit cards—namely UOB Reserve, UOB Infinite, and UOB Zenith—are granted exclusive walk-in privileges for Schengen Visa applications at VFS Global. By removing the need for prior appointments, this initiative effectively reduces administrative hurdles and optimises travel planning time.

Beyond the logistical convenience of visa applications, this year’s collaboration emphasises exclusive "Money Can't Buy" experiences. A prime example is the invitation to "La Tavola dell’Ambasciatore", a prestigious dinner reception held at the Italian Ambassador’s Residence. H.E. Mr Paolo Dionisi graciously opened the doors of his residence to welcome UOB’s distinguished clients, offering an evening of authentic Italian culture and exceptional dining. This exclusive event underscores the profound and enduring relationship between UOB Thailand and the Embassy of Italy.

H.E. Mr Paolo Dionisi, Ambassador of Italy to Thailand, stated, "Italy and Thailand share a profound history spanning over 155 years. Our ongoing collaboration with UOB over the past eight years has played a pivotal role in strengthening the connectivity between our two nations, particularly in promoting tourism and cultural exchange. We are delighted to open the Residence to welcome the bank’s esteemed clients to experience the charm of Italy in its various dimensions, and we stand ready to support Thai travellers in visiting Italy with greater ease and inspiration."

Mrs Vira-Anong Chiranakhorn Phutrakul, Deputy CEO and Head of Wholesale Banking, UOB Thailand, remarked, "Our goal at UOB is to deliver experiences that transcend traditional financial services, perfectly catering to the borderless lifestyles of our clients. Our partnership with the Embassy of Italy not only ensures that international travel is as seamless and comfortable as possible but also grants access to exclusive, unparalleled privileges. As a leading regional bank, this is our way of expressing gratitude and leaving a lasting impression on our valued clients."
