Cards

What happens if my credit card is delivered while I am overseas? Can I continue to use my migrated credit card until its expiry date?
chevron

Upon delivery of your new UOB credit card, we recommend activating it promptly to avoid any issues with lost cards. You may use your existing Citi card until the fourth quarter of 2024, not until its expiry date.

If you have more than one Citi credit card or hold cards from both Citi and UOB, we have aligned your billing cycles to a single date, which is visible in your monthly statement or the UOB TMRW app. Requests for billing cycle changes can be made from May 2024 onwards.

If you would like to make a payment for the remaining balance using the QR code or barcode on your previous statement issued by Citi, you will be able to make payment from now – 30 June 2024 through the following payment channels:

  • PromptPay through Mobile Banking or Internet Banking
  • Payment partners including Thailand Post, Lotus's, Counter Service, mPAY and True Money kiosk (credit line will be restored two business days after making payment)

After you receive a credit card or cash card statement from UOB, you will be able to make payments via UOB's payment channels listed below. Payment channels where you will be able to specify the amount to each card account:

  • UOB TMRW app, UOB Personal Internet Banking (PIB), ATM/CDM
  • Direct debit through UOB savings account

For payment channels where a QR code or barcode is used, the Bank will allocate the payment amount to each of your card account accordingly in the event that you have more than one credit card:

  • PromptPay through Mobile Banking or Internet Banking
  • UOB branches
  • Payment partners including Thailand Post, Lotus's, Counter Service, mPAY and True Money kiosk (credit line will be restored two business days after making payment)

Your debit cards and credit cards will remain functional until the new UOB cards are issued, with core privileges unchanged.

A new UOB credit card with similar core privileges of your existing cards will be sent to you within the third quarter of 2024. For details and a complete list of privileges, visit the Credit Cards section on our website.

Scan & Pay service for Visa and Mastercard credit cards is currently unavailable for UOB Credit Cardholders. You can make payments for your credit cards via:
