UOB to stop sending email with links

Effective from 1 June 2023, UOB will no longer send email with embedded links to our customers, except for those who have given their consent to receive such messages.

Please be advised that if you receive an email with a link, do not click on it and remain vigilant, as it may be a fraudulent message. We would like to remind our customers to never disclose their personal information, such as passwords, PINs or banking credentials, to anyone.

As always, the security and safety of our customers' information is our top priority. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we hope you understand that this change is necessary to protect our customers from potential fraud.

Effective from 1 April 2023, UOB will no longer send SMS with embedded links to our customers, except for those who have given their consent to receive such messages. For customers transferred from Citibank’s consumer business, this change will take effect from 1 May 2023.
