    • For existing customers: Customers may request for a reduced minimum repayment rate of 5% of the outstanding balance for 12 months (Applicable to primary cards only) or other programmes offered by the Bank as  appropriate.
    • Customers may also request a temporary credit limit increase for emergency use due to the impact of the earthquake on 28 March 2025. Approval is subject to the Bank’s consideration.

  1. How is UOB assisting business customers affected by the earthquake on 28 March 2025?
    For our business customers, UOB has implemented the following support measures:
    • Deferment of principal or interest payments for up to 3 months, taking into account the earthquake impacts to the customer:
      • Long-term loans: Customers making monthly instalments of both principal and interest will only need to pay the interest for up to 3 months.
      • Short-term loans: Customers who usually pay monthly interest will receive a deferment of interest payments for up to 3 months.

    • Extension of repayment periods for up to 12 months, taking into account the earthquake impacts to the customer:
      • Long-term loans: Repayment periods will be extended by up to 12 months. For example, a loan originally set to end in December 2026, it will now be extended to end for a period no later than December 2027.
      • Short-term loans: For promissory notes (PN) or Trade Finance loans with repayment terms of 3-6 months, the repayment period will be extended by up to 3 months.

  2. Which types of loan products are eligible for this assistance programme?
    Eligible loan products include: long-term loans (Term Loans) and short-term loans such as overdraft facilities (OD), promissory notes (PN), and trade finance loans.

  3. What are the eligibility criteria for customers to participate in this assistance programme?
    Customer must:
    • Hold a business loan with UOB
    • Directly or indirectly affected by the earthquake on 28 March 2025.

  4. Can customers request additional loans for repairing their premises?
    UOB has implemented support measures by approving additional loan facilities for customers to repair premises damaged by the earthquake on 28 March 2025. Customers will receive a deferment of principal payments and will only need to pay the interest on the repair loans for up to 3 months.

  5. What is the maximum credit limit available under this assistance programme?
    UOB will determine the approved credit limit for repairing premises based on the necessity of the repairs and the appropriateness of the customer's repayment capacity.
