This initiative supports small and medium-sized enterprises in enhancing how they measure, manage, and report on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance. Through the UOB Thailand SAGE Programme, SMEs can benefit from preferential pricing and expedited access to financing.​

Thailand Taxonomy

Thailand Taxonomy is a voluntary and standardized classification system for identifying economic activities considered environmentally-sustainable and climate-aligned. It is grounded in the latest climate science and aligned with the goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, in accordance with the Paris Agreement objective of limiting global warming to 1.5°C.

Thailand Taxonomy Phase 1 focuses on economic activities in the energy and transportation sectors, which contribute the highest proportion of carbon emissions.

Thailand Taxonomy Phase 2 expanded the taxonomy to include manufacturing, agriculture, construction and real estate, and waste management sectors.
